The Great Eanes CO2 Dragster Race
Each year, we spend several weeks designing, cutting, sanding, sanding, sanding, painting our CO2 dragsters for the big race. This semester, the race occurred on February 22 and February 25. Included in these races were some of the most outstanding displays of color and creativity, but little did we know when we began that the all time record would be broken by one of the students shaping his car. 1st period student Gautem broke his first attempt, but crafted his second racer to its aerodynamic best as it broke the old record with an incredible 0.400. That's exactly 4/10th of a second to travel the 30 feet of the racetrack.
